Immerse your senses in Spain and Latin America’s passion for food, dance, music and decorative arts as the Queen Victoria Market host the 6th Annual ‘La Plaza del Mercado’ festival on Sunday, 18th April.

Showcasing Melbourne’s contemporary Latin American and Spanish music, this year’s programme will feature new interpretations of the traditional rhythms of salsa, meringue, samba, and bossa nova. The line-up will also include fiery performances by leading tango, flamenco and samba dancers.

Taste authentic flavours at a wide variety of speciality market stalls, preparing typical dishes from the twenty-two different Spanish speaking countries and browse the treasures of the traditional arts and crafts.

We invite all Melbournians to come and enjoy the day. Sample sizzling paella, dance a sumptuous samba or relax with a refreshing drinks in our courtyard bar. Don’t miss the transformation of the Queen Victoria Market into a vibrant and colourful community celebration!!!

La Plaza del Mercado is brought to you by CELAS (The Spanish Latin American Welfare Centre Inc.) who provide community assistance and services to the 25,000 Spanish speaking people in Victoria.
